Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Schedule / Job Type:
Full-time, Contract, Night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 13-week assignment, on-site

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide emergency nursing care in a busy ER setting, ensuring patient safety and proper treatment.
• Monitor and operate medical equipment such as monitors, pumps, EKGs, and ultrasound devices.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver efficient and effective patient care.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using electronic medical records (Meditech).
• Support a fast-paced environment with a focus on teamwork and high-quality care.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid nursing license in the state of Virginia.
• Active CPR certification.
• ACLS and PALS certifications.
• Experience working in an emergency department setting.
• Knowledge of Meditech EMR system.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and ENPC certifications.
• Trauma Nursing Certification (TNCC).
• Prior experience with ED procedures and rapid response protocols.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to a dynamic environment.
