Registered Nurse - ICU
Location: Fountain Valley, CA
Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, Night shifts, 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts (0700-1930), 3 shifts per week
Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-level patient care in an ICU setting for a 25-bed unit.
• Manage complex diagnoses including ARDS, Sepsis, Neurological conditions, Cardiac issues, and Multi-Organ Failure.
• Perform specialized procedures such as bronchoscopy, chest tube placement, central line insertion, ICP monitoring, and lumbar drains.
• Document patient care activities using Cerner electronic charting system.
• Support float coverage across various units including PCU, Telemetry, and Medical-Surgical floors within scope.
• Ensure adherence to protocols for critical care and emergency procedures.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid BLS, ACLS, and CAL license.
• Current California Registered Nurse license.
• Experienced with ICU patients, including ventilated and critical conditions.
• Ability to perform advanced procedures and monitor critically ill patients.
• Good communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience in neuro, cardiac, or trauma ICU settings.
• Familiarity with advanced life support devices such as IABP and Impella.
• Prior use of Cerner or similar electronic medical records.
