Registered Nurse - IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Full-time, night shifts

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to IMC, PCU, and Stepdown patients in a teaching hospital environment.
• Float between different levels of care, including Med-Surg, PCU, and ICU, as needed.
• Adhere to patient safety protocols, including management of drips and telemetry monitoring.
• Support patient stabilization and recovery, including post-surgical and trauma care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in patient education and discharge planning.
• May assist with charge nurse responsibilities and supervise or precept students and new staff.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience in a hospital setting.
• Current ACLS, BCLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Proficiency in telemetry, neuro care, and management of drips.
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and participate in weekend rotations as needed.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience with neuro patients, including those with CVAs, brain tumors, and resections.
• Trauma care experience, including level 1 trauma.
• Knowledge of conscious sedation protocols and large wound management.
• Experience working in teaching hospitals and collaborating with students.
