Registered Nurse PACU
Job Title
- Registered Nurse - PACU

Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, 4 days per week, day shifts (10-hour shifts)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide preoperative and postoperative care for surgical outpatients in a PACU setting.
- Monitor and assess patients during Phase 2 recovery to ensure safe discharge.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver quality post-op care.
- Document patient progress using electronic medical records systems.
- Assist with transition of patients from the operating room to recovery.
- Maintain compliance with safety and hospital policies.
Required Qualifications
- Active Illinois state nursing license.
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in PACU or outpatient surgical recovery.
- Experience with preop and postop care of outpatient, cath lab, and radiology patients.
- Ambulatory/outpatient experience mandatory.
- Phase II recovery experience required.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred.
- Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs.
- Experience with EPIC charting system preferred.
