Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care for patients in Medical Surgical/Telemetry units during night shifts.
- Monitor patient condition and respond to patient needs in a timely manner.
- Administer medications, perform IV starts, and conduct patient assessments.
- Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Document patient information accurately using electronic health record systems.
- Educate patients and their families about care and discharge instructions.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical/Telemetry nursing.
- Current BLS and IV certification.
- Proficiency in IV starts, medication administration, patient monitoring, and lab work.
- Experience with electronic medical record systems, specifically EPIC preferred.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Strong general nursing skills and patient education abilities.
- Prior experience working night shifts.
- Ability to manage multiple patients effectively in a fast-paced environment.
