Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
Key Responsibilities
• Provide compassionate and comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Intermediate Care Unit, Progressive Care Unit, or Stepdown area.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, including ECG rhythm recognition and responding to changes.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, clinical, and documentation standards.
• Work at least every other holiday as required by the facility.
Required Qualifications
• Must have a minimum of 18 months of recent, permanent experience in neuro stepdown or ICU settings.
• Valid Ohio or Compact State Nursing License.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Must pass ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate assessments during orientation with acceptable scores.
• Ability to work night shifts and adapt to a fast-paced clinical environment.
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Travel nursing experience in neuro or stepdown units.
• Experience with PCU or Progressive Care Unit settings is a plus.
• Familiarity with hospital electronic health record systems such as Qualivis – Lotus.
