Key Responsibilities
• Provide patient care in a 300-bed acute care hospital, focusing on IMC/PCU/Stepdown units.
• Manage critically ill patients, including those requiring CRRT, BiPAP, chest tubes, PICC lines, and other vascular access devices.
• Conduct and interpret diagnostics such as lab draws and monitor patient codes, ensuring rapid response in emergency situations.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team, float to ICU, med-surg, tele, and ED units as needed.
• Follow established protocols, maintain accurate documentation within the EPIC EMR system, and ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Work scheduled nights (12-hour shifts) with every other weekend requirement and holiday coverage on a rotating basis.

Required Qualifications
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in Critical Care/Intensive Care Units.
• Valid Kansas RN license or Compact RN license.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications.
• Experience with CRRT, BiPAP, lab draws, chest tubes, PICC lines, and conducting codes.
• Ability to float across various inpatient units and handle call on own consults.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Prior experience working in a high-acuity hospital setting.
• Strong knowledge of EPIC EMR system.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
