Key Responsibilities

• Manage care for MedSurg patients of all ages, including medication administration and bedside procedures.
• Operate and utilize unit equipment such as Alaris IV pumps, Hill-rom beds, call systems, Kangaroo pumps, and Quadramed Pyxis.
• Provide assistance and support in various units, including ER, postpartum, and stepdown, with no patient load, just aiding other staff.
• Participate in on-call duties as required, with flexibility to fill schedule gaps and work weekends.
• Complete unit-specific training and orientation, including HR and educational onboarding, restraint training, shadow shifts, and initial work shifts.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of MedSurg nursing experience.
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• PALS certification required.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working across multiple units such as ER, postpartum, and stepdown units.
• Familiarity with hospital equipment including IV pumps and computerized charting systems.
• Ability to adapt to variable schedules, including on-call and weekend shifts.
