Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy care for pediatric and adult patients across multiple ICU units, including Level IV NICU, PICU, and Cardio-Thoracic ICU.
• Manage ventilators, trachs, suctioning, and oxygen therapy in high-acuity settings.
• Collaborate with medical teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Work within a Level IV NICU, trauma, and pediatric intensive care environment, supporting complex cases and high-risk patients.
• Ensure compliance with all certification and licensing requirements.
• Document patient care accurately using facility-approved electronic health records.

Required Qualifications

• California RCP license in hand.
• NBRC – RRT national certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent NICU Level 4 experience, preferably from a trauma Level 1 facility.
• Valid BLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), and NRP (AHA, must be advanced, with certification in hand prior to start).
• At least one year of pediatric ICU experience, with competence in ventilator management, trachs, and vents.
• Current flu shot.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Pediatric ICU experience across multiple units including NICU, PICU, and CTICU.
• Experience caring for ventilated, trached, and critically ill pediatric and adult patients.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to high-acuity environments.

• Shifts: Night shifts, 12 hours.
• No scheduling requests or blocked scheduling allowed.
• Must be available to work 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week period.
• No local candidates accepted; travel license required.
• Free traveler parking provided.
• Open to applicants with pending or active California RCP license.
• Experience with acute pediatric care, ventilators, and trachs essential.
