Registered Nurse - CVICU
Location: Charlottesville, VA
Schedule / Job Type: Nights, Part-time (3 shifts per week, 12 hours per shift)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical care and perform patient assessments in a 24-bed Thoracic Cardiovascular ICU
- Support patients undergoing cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgical procedures such as CABG, valve replacement/repair, heart and lung transplants
- Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Adhere to hospital policies, including float and holiday coverage requirements
- Utilize Epic electronic health record system for documentation and clinical workflows
Required Qualifications:
- Valid Virginia RN license (pending license submissions accepted)
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Experience with Epic electronic medical records
- Willingness to work nights and accommodate holiday schedules
Preferred Experience / Skills:
- Previous ICU or CVICU experience
- Familiarity with UVAs float policy
- Able to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
