Registered Nurse - PreOp
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, Days shifts, 10-hour shifts, no nights, weekends, or holidays; 4 shifts per week
Key Responsibilities:

• Provide preoperative and postoperative nursing care to outpatients in a busy surgical environment.
• Access ports, manage peripheral lines, and perform phlebotomy procedures.
• Assist with starting IVs and monitor patient status during pre- and post-op phases.
• Support interdisciplinary teams including pharmacy, radiology, respiratory, and social services to ensure seamless patient care.
• Document and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with hospital protocols.
• Collaborate with in-house support teams such as interpretation services, phlebotomy, physical therapy, and anesthesia to deliver comprehensive care.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in outpatient or surgical settings.
• Valid RN license in Indiana.
• Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, and PALs.
• Experience accessing ports, managing peripheral lines, phlebotomy, and starting IVs.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Prior perioperative nursing experience is a plus.
• Excellent patient communication and team collaboration skills.
