Job Title
• Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

• Wilmington, NC

Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, 4 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities
• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a Medical Surgical unit, including telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Administer IV insulin protocols, blood products, and manage central and peripheral line care
• Perform wound care, colostomy care, feeding tube management, and post-hemodialysis care
• Monitor and respond to patient needs using advanced airway management tools such as CPAP/BiPAP and HFNC
• Follow strict isolation precautions for COVID-19 and other infectious diseases
• Document patient care accurately in electronic health records and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams

Required Qualifications
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a Medical Surgical or telemetry setting
• Valid BCLS certification
• Ability to pass EKG testing prior to start
• Experience with IV therapy, blood product administration, and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Comfort with managing complex patient diagnoses, including COVID-19, pneumonia, sepsis, and GI bleeding

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system
• Knowledge of advanced cardiac monitoring (telemetry) and dysrhythmia management
• Skilled in managing surgical drains, CVA patients, and various respiratory support devices
• Prior experience working during storm/hurricane events and adaptability to unit consolidations
