Key Responsibilities
- Manage high acuity patients in the IMC/Stepdown unit, providing care for critical conditions that require continuous monitoring.
- Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for patients with complex medical needs.
- Monitor patients' hemodynamics and respiratory status, intervening promptly to any changes.
- Educate and advocate for patients and their families, ensuring understanding of treatment and recovery processes.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality, team-driven patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Active and current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification.
- Minimum of 12 hours per shift availability.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience caring for patients with sepsis, diabetic ketoacidosis, post-open-heart procedures, and those requiring continuous cardiac infusions.
- Familiarity with non-invasive ventilation management (e.g., BiPAP/CPAP).
- Ability to quickly adapt to a high-pressure, team-oriented environment.
