Key Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care in the Operating Room during surgical procedures
- Assist physicians intra-procedure for upper and lower GI cases
- Manage equipment including Olympus scopes and various endoscopy supplies
- Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout procedures
- Collaborate with surgical team to maintain a smooth workflow during high-volume cases
Required Qualifications
- Valid Illinois RN license
- CPR and ACLS certifications
- At least 2 years of OR experience working with physicians on intra-procedure cases
- Ability to pass an EKG test with at least 80% proficiency (for conscious sedation)
- Epic EHR system experience
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in GI lab and endoscopy procedures
- Familiarity with endoscopy equipment and procedural environment
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced setting with 30-60 cases per day
