- Full-time, days shift, 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide intra-procedure nursing care in the OR for upper and lower GI cases.
- Assist physicians during procedures, including endoscopy and GI lab cases.
- Manage a high volume of approximately 30-60 cases daily utilizing Olympus scopes and various endoscopy equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety and procedural standards, including passing EKG tests for conscious sedation.
- Maintain documentation and assist with procedural preparations in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Active IL nursing license.
- Current CPR and ACLS certifications.
- Epic electronic health record experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of OR nursing experience in a procedural setting.
- Ability to pass an EKG test with 80% or higher.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with endoscopy, GI lab procedures, and endoscopic supplies from multiple manufacturers.
- Prior experience working with Olympus scopes and GI equipment.
- Strong comprehension of procedural nursing in a high-volume environment.
