Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, Night shifts, 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities
• Provide specialized cardiovascular operating room nursing care for adult patients undergoing open heart, transplant, and trauma/neuro procedures.
• Assist in cardiac and thoracic transplant surgeries, including scrubbing in as needed.
• Participate in patient care from pre-operative to post-operative phases, ensuring safety and adherence to clinical protocols.
• Support call rotations for cardiac surgery cases, providing on-call coverage as scheduled.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a Level 1 trauma hospital environment.
• Float between ORs when necessary, maintaining flexibility across different procedures and patient populations.

Required Qualifications
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in CVOR or cardiovascular surgical nursing.
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred.
• Ability to scrub on cardiac surgeries is highly desirable.
• Valid nursing license for the state of Tennessee.
• Complete COVID-19 vaccination series or valid exemption required by start date.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience with a wide range of case types including neuro, trauma, general, ortho, GYN, urology, ENT, plastics, vascular, and robotic procedures.
• Comfort working with adult patient populations in a high-volume, Level 1 trauma hospital setting.
• Familiarity with hybrid OR rooms and complex surgical cases.
