Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients for MRI scans of various body parts, including equipment setup and patient alignment.
• Screen patients and personnel for ferrous metal objects and implants to ensure safety.
• Select and operate appropriate pulse sequences, record protocols, and adjust settings to optimize diagnostic results.
• Evaluate images for quality and completeness, manipulate images via console, and communicate findings to physicians.
• Send images to PACS, ensure exam documentation is accurate, and verify timely completion of procedures.
• Respond to patients' physical and psychological needs, explain procedures clearly, and monitor for contrast reactions if applicable.
• Start IV lines when required, monitor patients during procedures, and report any adverse reactions promptly.
• Maintain accurate procedure records, update billing information, and participate in departmental data collection.
• Assist in training and evaluating students, and support ongoing professional development activities.

Required Qualifications

• At least 2 years of related MRI technologist experience.
• ARRT certification in Radiology or MRI.
• BLS certification from AHA.
• Experience with GE and Siemens MRI scanners, including 1.5T and 3T models.
• Flu vaccination required prior to start date.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Epic system experience.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of hospital PACS systems and imaging protocols.
