Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, contract (26-bed Acute Care Unit)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide clinical nursing care to a diverse patient population primarily consisting of general surgery and trauma patients.
• Monitor post-surgical patients and manage medical diagnoses as needed.
• Utilize cardiac monitoring, capnography, end-tidal CO2, and pulse oximetry to ensure patient safety.
• Adhere to hospital policies, including float policy and holiday scheduling requirements.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver quality patient care across a 13-week assignment with flexible time-off options.
• Comply with all unit protocols and maintain accurate patient documentation.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Virginia RN license (or pending license approval).
• BLS required; ACLS preferred but not mandatory.
• Proven experience with Epic electronic medical record systems.
• Ability to work nights and adhere to scheduling requirements, including working 2 out of 3 winter holidays.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience in Medical Surgical or Telemetry units.
• Familiarity with ICU or acute care monitoring equipment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
