Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a community hospital emergency department
• Manage and interpret dysrhythmias, administer procedural and conscious sedation, and perform IV starts and triage
• Collaborate with ED physicians, paramedics, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver efficient patient care
• Support stroke and chest pain protocols, including administering t-PA and TNK, and transferring patients as needed
• Document patient care accurately using hospital systems such as Pyxis and EPIC
• Adhere to unit protocols and safety procedures, including mandatory certifications and passing EKG testing prior to start

Required Qualifications

• 2-3 years of emergency department nursing experience
• Valid ACLS, BCLS, NIH, PALS, and MOAB certifications (facility will provide MOAB training)
• Ability to pass EKG testing prior to start
• Experience with IV start, triage, telemetry, and sedation administration

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Critical care experience with trauma, triage, and inpatient boarding
• Certifications in ENPC and TNCC
• Experience caring for all age groups in a hospital setting
