Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, 12-hour night shifts, 36 or 48 hours per week (no overtime until after 48 hours), contract position with 13-26 weeks duration, on-site

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care to adult and geriatric general Med/Surg patients in a fast-paced hospital setting
• Manage and monitor insulin and heparin drips, wound vac dressings, high flow oxygen, and occasional short-term BiPap with respiratory support
• Collaborate with healthcare team using EPIC, PYXIS, and SBAR communication tools
• Participate in unit orientation (24 hours) and float to similar units or alternate care locations as needed
• Support patient care during holidays, inclement weather, and catastrophic events, including storm and hurricane teams
• Adhere to patient safety protocols and document care accurately

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years RN experience in a Med/Surg setting
• Valid BCLS certification
• EPIC experience required
• Ability to administer insulin and heparin drips
• Pass EKG testing prior to start
• Willingness to work holidays and handle COVID patients if assigned

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CPI certification
• Charge nurse experience
