Key Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons and healthcare team members in various surgical procedures within a busy hospital environment.
• Perform surgical and operating room duties according to established policies and procedures.
• Support neuro, orthopedics, ENT, plastics, and general surgery cases, including trauma, utilizing appropriate equipment.
• Prepare and operate systems such as Zimmer, Depuy, Biomet, and Striker total replacements.
• Maintain compliance with safety and sterilization standards in a high-volume OR setting.
• Handle extended shifts and be available for call rotations as scheduled.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of surgical assisting experience.
• Strong neuro and orthopedic surgical skills.
• BLS certification (AHA).
• Proof of initiation of ND UAP application process within 3 business days of acceptance.
• Experience working in a large, busy acute care hospital with more than 15 OR suites.
• Experience with robotics in surgical procedures.
• Current licensure on the North Dakota Board of Nursing UAP Registry at least one week prior to start.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with orthopedic, plastic, ENT, and trauma surgeries.
• Familiarity with Zimmer, Depuy, Biomet, and Striker systems.
• Prior employment with Sanford Health (must specify in submission if applicable, with end date at least 6 months prior to application).
