Job Title

Schedule / Job Type

• Day shifts, 8 to 10 hours, possibly extending with call requirements, including 1-2 call days per week and every 3-4 weekends

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures across various specialties including neuro, orthopedics, ENT, plastics, and general surgeries.
• Prepare and operate surgical equipment and supplies, including systems like Zimmer, Depuy, Biomet, and Striker.
• Support the surgical team by performing OR duties, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures to facilitate effective patient care.
• Manage patient specimens and assist with procedural documentation.
• Collaborate with surgeons and healthcare staff in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with over 25 OR suites and an average of 75-100 cases daily.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of surgical or perioperative experience.
• Strong neuro and orthopedic case experience.
• BLS certification through AHA.
• Proof of initiation of UAP application process within 3 business days of acceptance.
• Experience working in a large, busy acute care hospital or level 1 trauma center.
• Experience with surgical robotics and familiarity with systems like Zimmer, Depuy, Biomet, or Striker.
• Must be on the North Dakota Board of Nursing UAP Registry at least one week prior to start.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous employment with Sanford Health within the past 6 months.
• Experience in pediatric surgeries and trauma cases.
• Ability to stay late and adapt to variable shift lengths with call duties.

• All clinicians are required to badge in and out at the facility, with provided scrubs in Ceil Blue.
