Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective, and patient-family centered care in the operating room setting.
• Assist with scrubbing, circulating, and working in the recovery room as needed.
• Effectively communicate with team members of the perioperative team.
• Maintain confidentiality and support the organization’s mission, vision, and values.
• Ensure compliance with clinical standards and safety protocols.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing school.
• Current registered nurse licensure in the state of Maine.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• For PACU: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (may obtain within 6 months of hire).
• For PACU: Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Life Support (PALS) certification (may obtain within 12 months of hire).
• At least 1 year of perioperative nursing experience.
• Basic computer skills.
• CNOR certification is preferred.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in an operating room or perioperative environment.
• Knowledge of surgical procedures and anesthesia protocols.
