Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient-centered nursing care in a multi-specialty, acute care unit with a focus on telemetry monitoring.
- Float to other units and hospitals as needed to support staffing and patient care needs.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Support patients with medical and surgical needs, including post-operative care and management of dialysis patients.
- Adhere to hospital protocols and safety procedures to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EMR system.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse license for Alabama or a valid Compact license.
- AHA BLS certification.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience, preferably in telemetry or acute care settings.
- Associate degree in nursing (ADN).
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in medical-surgical units, particularly telemetry monitoring.
- Ability to adapt to different hospital units and environments.
- Strong clinical skills in pain management, mobility assistance, and complication prevention.
