Key Responsibilities
- Provide dialysis patient care in a Level I Trauma Center and teaching hospital setting.
- Administer treatments according to prescribed protocols, maintaining patient safety and comfort.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality care and patient outcomes.
- Monitor patient responses to treatment, adjust as necessary, and document accurately in electronic health records.
- Adhere to all facility protocols, safety standards, and compliance requirements.
- Support the facility during peak times, including potential emergency response during hurricane season.
Required Qualifications
- Valid South Carolina licensed or Compact licensed registered nurse license.
- Minimum of 1 year of acute dialysis experience.
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
- Ability to work days, 12-hour shifts (6:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday).
- Experience with Fresenius 2008T equipment and Mobile Reverse Osmosis Machines is preferred.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a Level I Trauma Center or teaching hospital environment.
- Familiarity with Epic electronic health record systems.
- Comfortable working a block schedule with every other weekend rotations.
