Key Responsibilities
• Provide specialized nursing care in IMC, PCU, and step-down units, following established protocols and standards.
• Monitor patient vital signs, symptoms, and responses to treatment, ensuring timely interventions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and update patient care plans.
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures such as sheaths, telemetry, and post-procedure care.
• Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (Cerner).
• Respond effectively to patient needs and emergencies, maintaining a calm and flexible demeanor.
Required Qualifications
• Valid State of North Carolina Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• BLS and ACLS certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar unit or setting.
• Ability to float across all med-surg and step-down units.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Charge nurse experience or familiarity with charge responsibilities.
• Experience with post-EP lab and post-cath lab procedures.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with varied patient needs.
