• Full-time, Travel, 13-week assignment, Day shifts

Key Responsibilities
• Provide direct patient care on the Intermediate Care / Progressive Care / Stepdown unit
• Monitor and respond to patient needs, including cardiac and pulmonary patients
• Administer titratable and cardiac IV medications, such as nitroglycerine, amiodarone, insulin drips, heparin, and more
• Utilize EMR systems for documentation and patient management
• Support unit operations with floating coverage across MedSurg, COVID, and ER holding areas
• Collaborate with hospital staff to ensure safe and effective patient care

Required Qualifications
• Active RN license in the state of North Carolina
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of recent stepdown or telemetry experience
• Experience with titratable cardiac IV medications and equipment (e.g., Zoll monitors, Baxter pumps)
• Ability to float across different units as needed
• Compassionate team player with a flexible attitude

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Prior relief charge nurse experience
• Experience with prostacyclins such as Flolan, Veletri, or Remodulin

Additional Details
• Unit staffed with 40 beds, with patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:5 during stretch staffing
• Typical patient population includes CHF, MI, arrhythmias, pulmonary hypertension, and post-cardiac procedures
• Dress code: all white or all navy blue scrubs or white top with navy blue pants
• Schedule: Every other weekend and potential on-call duties
