- Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week, temp assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide postoperative care to adult, adolescent, and geriatric patients in a Level I Trauma Center
- Monitor and manage patients with invasive monitoring, artificial airways, transfusions, and vasoactive medications
- Recognize and manage dysrhythmias, administer blood products, and perform IV starts and vasopressor management
- Support recovery for surgical specialties including Neurosurgery, ENT, plastics, orthopedics, thoracic, vascular, trauma, general, colorectal, GYN, urological, electrophysiology, interventional radiology, and transplant
- Collaborate with PCT/transport team for efficient patient recovery and transfers
- Maintain documentation within EPIC charting system
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of Level 1 ICU experience
- Current license to practice as a registered nurse (pending license accepted)
- Certification in BLS and ACLS required
- Critical care experience, including invasive monitoring, ICP management, blood transfusions, and ventilated patient care
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a trauma center setting
- Knowledge of dysrhythmia recognition and management
- Ability to work across a broad spectrum of post-op recovery in a busy acute care environment
