Key Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services to patients in a medical rehabilitation unit within a trauma hospital.
• Manage a patient ratio of up to 5 patients daily, typically seeing 3-4 patients for 90-minute sessions each.
• Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and execute therapy interventions primarily for stroke patients (approximately 40%).
• Document patient progress and treatment plans accurately using Cerner charting system.
• Maintain professional standards and compliance with licensure and hospital policies.
• Adhere to facility requirements, including appropriate scrubs and vaccination policies.

Required Qualifications

• Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist (candidate must obtain WV PT licensure prior to start).
• BLS certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Willingness to work days, Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm.
• Must provide references from recent supervisory roles (minimum of 2) and verification of licensure.
• Must be fully vaccinated for flu during flu season (October 1st – March 31st) or provide medical documentation of allergy; COVID vaccine not required.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience working in a hospital setting, particularly with stroke rehabilitation.
• Familiarity with Cerner charting system and hospital protocols.
• Ability to work with a multidisciplinary team.
