- Full-time, Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, 13-26 weeks contract duration
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with medical surgical conditions, including trauma, neurological injuries, and postoperative recovery
- Administer medications, including heparin drips and blood products, and manage IV lines, PICC lines, and central lines
- Monitor and manage patient airway, including tracheostomy care, nasal cannula, and non-invasive airway management
- Document patient progress accurately in electronic health records using EPIC system
- Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
- Follow isolation precautions and PPE protocols in accordance with hospital standards
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a medical-surgical or critical care setting within the last 5 years
- Ability to administer heparin drips and perform phlebotomy
- Experience with central line, PICC line, and peripheral line management
- Proficient in EPIC documentation system
- Ability to interpret EKGs and manage dysrhythmias (pass EKG testing prior to start)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ACLS certification
- Management of neuro surgeries, spinal cord injuries, and trauma-related injuries
- Experience with hemodialysis management and stroke patient care
