- Full-time, Days, 12-hour shifts
Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care in a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit, focusing on neuro, stroke, and other neurological diagnoses.
- Monitor and interpret dysrhythmias, administer medications, and perform IV starts.
- Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Float to other MS/Tele units as needed, including COVID care units.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort through effective communication and clinical skills.
- Adhere to unit protocols and documentation standards.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience, with at least 1 year in Med/Surg and telemetry.
- Valid RN license.
- Experience with IV starts, telemetry, and dysrhythmia management.
- BCLS certification; NIH, NIHSS preferred but not required.
- Ability to pass EKG testing prior to start.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ACLS certification is preferred.
- Prior travel nursing experience (minimum of 2 successful contracts), especially in Med/Surg/Tele.
- Experience working with stroke, neurology, or neuro-surgical patients.
- Ability to float across multiple units and handle complex patient cases.
