• Full-time, Contract, 13-week assignment, Night shifts, Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to emergency department patients in a Level 2 trauma center.
• Administer treatments, medications, and procedures following established protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner electronic health records system.
• Monitor patient status with GE monitors and Baxter pumps; respond effectively to emergencies.
• Uphold patient experience standards, including AIDET and respectful communication.

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina or appropriate compact licensure.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a registered nurse, with at least 1 year in an ER setting.
• BLS and ACLS certifications prior to start date.
• PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS, and ENPC certifications or willing to obtain upon hire.
• Experience working in a high-volume ED (over 100,000 visits annually).
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and patient-centered care skills.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience in a Level 2 trauma or comprehensive stroke center.
• Experience with HCA systems and multicultural patient populations.
• Demonstrated ability to coach and provide real-time feedback to peers.
• Knowledge of advanced procedures performed on ED units.
