Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to ICU, PCU, and stepdown patients in a large hospital setting.
  • Monitor patient hemodynamics and ventilator management, including advanced hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator adjustments.
  • Assist with bedside procedures such as chest tube insertions and intubations.
  • Perform bedside shift reports and participate in nurse leader rounding to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, ensuring compliance with unit policies and patient safety standards.
  • Support holiday coverage and on-call responsibilities as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in North Carolina or ability to obtain.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an ICU, IMC, PCU, or stepdown unit.
  • Proficiency with hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management.
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS.
  • Experience with critical care pharmacology, central line management, and bedside procedures.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, large facility environment.

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Experience with advanced critical care procedures and equipment.
  • Excellent critical thinking, flexibility, and teamwork skills.
  • Prior travel nursing experience preferred.
