Key Responsibilities

• Provide quality nursing care to patients in a cardiac step-down unit, including those with CHF, MI, arrhythmia, and other cardiac conditions.
• Monitor patient vital signs and titratable IV medications such as nitroglycerine, Cardizem, amiodarone, dopamine, insulin drips, heparin, and Lasix.
• Utilize equipment including Zoll monitors, Baxter pumps, lifts, and bladder scanners to support patient care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient data accurately in the electronic medical record (Cerner).
• Follow unit policies and protocols, including floating to other med-surg, COVID, or ER holding units as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Cardiac telemetry experience
• Experience with titratable cardiac IV medications (e.g., nitroglycerine, Cardizem, amiodarone, dopamine, heparin, Lasix)
• At least 2 years of recent RN experience in a stepdown or progressive care setting

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with prostacyclins (Flolan, Veletri, Remodulin)
• Relief charge nurse experience
• Flexibility, positive attitude, compassionate team player

Additional Details

• Shifts: Nights, 12.5 hours each
• Working 3 shifts per week
• Duration: 13 weeks, with possibility of extension
• Start Date: November 17, 2025
