Schedule / Job Type
- Night shift, 13-week travel assignment, full-time
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to postpartum mothers and newborns on the Mother Baby unit.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs, administer medications, and observe for postpartum complications.
- Assist with procedures such as circumcisions and manage postpartum assessments.
- Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery and newborn care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes.
- Document patient care activities accurately in the EMR system.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in North Carolina or appropriate state licensure.
- BLS certification.
- 2+ years of recent Mother Baby or postpartum nursing experience.
- Experience caring for patients on Magnesium Sulfate post-delivery.
- Ability to float to L&D and NICU as needed.
- Certification in STABLE preferred.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous travel nursing experience.
- Knowledge of Cerner EMR system.
- Compassionate team player with a love for teaching.
