Registered Nurse PACU
Job Title
- Registered Nurse - PACU

- Middlebury, VT
Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, 10-hour day shifts, rotating weekly with weekend call, up to 32 weeks assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide postoperative care in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), including patient monitoring, assessments, and discharge planning
- Assist with pre-operative and phase two care, ensuring seamless patient transitions and safety compliance
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver quality patient care in a surgical setting
- Support unit procedures such as IV insertions, EKGs, and patient transport as needed
- Participate in rotating call shifts, including holidays, with a 30-minute callback requirement
- Document patient care accurately in the EPIC system
Required Qualifications
- Active AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse
- Experience with EPIC electronic medical record system within the past 2 years (non-negotiable)
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred
- Hands-on experience with pre-op, phase two care, and patient discharges
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a critical access or small facility with surgical units
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
