Travel, Nights, 13-week assignment, 12.5-hour shifts, scheduled for 3 shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care for orthopedic patients on a busy hospital unit.
- Assist with dressing changes, suture and staple removal, Foley catheter management, NG tube care, and wound vac maintenance.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality patient outcomes and safety.
- Utilize Cerner EMR to document patient care accurately.
- Maintain high standards of patient safety and comfort in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Valid NC Nursing License
- BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience, preferably in hospital or orthopedics
- Strong assessment, communication, and team collaboration skills
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior hospital experience in orthopedic units or surgical recovery
- Experience with wound care and post-surgical procedures
- Ability to adapt quickly and work effectively as part of a team
- Proficiency with Cerner or similar EMR systems
