Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill cardiac and cardiovascular ICU patients.
• Monitor and interpret patient hemodynamics, telemetry, and ventilator data to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Administer titrated medications, including vesicants, pressors, sedatives, and paralytics, according to physician orders.
• Perform advanced procedures such as cardioversion, chest tube management, transvenous pacing, and central line insertions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Document patient care accurately in the Cerner system and adhere to hospital policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Valid nursing license and at least 2 years of ICU experience.
• Experience with ventilators, chest tubes, telemetry interpretation, and hemodynamic monitoring.
• Demonstrated ability to titrate vesicant medications, manage pressors, and understand PA catheter setup.
• Knowledge of cardiac procedures such as cardioversion and transvenous pacing.
• Must be able to work 12-hour night shifts and follow unit-specific policies.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CCRN certification preferred.
• Experience with Impella, CRRT, IABP, and TEE.
• Familiarity with advanced cardiac devices and procedures.
• Ability to float across all areas of the ICU as needed.
