- Travel, Full-time, 13-week assignment, Days shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide acute inpatient rehabilitation nursing care to patients recovering from illnesses, injuries, or surgeries.
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and manage IV pumps and specialty beds.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Document patient progress and interventions accurately in the Meditech system.
- Ensure safety and comfort of patients while maintaining compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
- Support patient and family education regarding recovery and ongoing care needs.
Required Qualifications
- Valid registered nurse (RN) license in North Carolina.
- BLS certification required.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in rehab or med-surg settings.
- Ability to perform procedures on acute rehabilitation units, including use of specialty equipment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Comfortable working 12-hour shifts and with a diverse patient population.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a rehabilitation hospital or acute care setting.
- Certification in additional specialties or procedures (e.g., dialysis, wound care) is a plus.
- Familiarity with Meditech documentation system.
