- Santa Fe, NM
Schedule / Job Type
- Travel, 13-week contract, on-site, rotating day shifts (8:00 AM - 6:30 PM), 10.5 hours per shift
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and implement patient care for post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) patients, ensuring safety and quality standards
- Assess patient conditions and provide appropriate interventions during recovery from anesthesia
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols, including bloodborne pathogen standards
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and assist in crisis management
Required Qualifications
- Current New Mexico RN license or valid Compact state license
- BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications from the American Heart Association
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous experience in PACU or surgical recovery units
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations with composure and decisiveness
- Strong communication and patient advocacy skills
