Key Responsibilities

• Perform cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) surgical assisting and support.
• Prepare the OR for cardiovascular, vascular, thoracic, and general surgery procedures.
• Ensure sterile field maintenance and assist with surgical equipment and instrument setup.
• Support cardiac, transplant, endovascular, thoracic, and robotic surgeries as required.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow all safety protocols during procedures.

Required Qualifications

• NBSTSA certification in surgical technology.
• Valid CVOR scrub card and national certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of related work experience in surgical tech, preferably in a teaching hospital setting.
• Basic life support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to navigate web-based applications and basic computer skills.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with valve replacement, cardiac surgery, and transplant procedures.
• Prior work in vascular, thoracic, and robotic surgeries.
• Familiarity with open vascular and endovascular procedures.
• Experience working in a busy surgical environment with a team-oriented mindset.
