Key Responsibilities
- Perform cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) surgical assisting and support.
- Prepare the OR for cardiovascular, vascular, thoracic, and general surgery procedures.
- Ensure sterile field maintenance and assist with surgical equipment and instrument setup.
- Support cardiac, transplant, endovascular, thoracic, and robotic surgeries as required.
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow all safety protocols during procedures.
Required Qualifications
- NBSTSA certification in surgical technology.
- Valid CVOR scrub card and national certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of related work experience in surgical tech, preferably in a teaching hospital setting.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification.
- Ability to navigate web-based applications and basic computer skills.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with valve replacement, cardiac surgery, and transplant procedures.
- Prior work in vascular, thoracic, and robotic surgeries.
- Familiarity with open vascular and endovascular procedures.
- Experience working in a busy surgical environment with a team-oriented mindset.
