Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) for premature and critically ill infants.
- Manage patients with conditions such as respiratory support, central lines, and trach care.
- Perform procedures including central line insertions, circumcisions, and gastroschisis reductions.
- Monitor and document patient status using hospital-specific systems (CPN, Meditech).
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Follow unit-specific policies and maintain compliance with certification requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of level III NICU experience.
- Experience with preemies (28 weeks and above), central line management, and respiratory support, including intubated patients.
- Ability to work rotating nights and adapt to floating policies.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience caring for patients less than 27 weeks gestation.
- Skilled in handling trach infants and managing broviacs.
- Familiarity with advanced neonatal procedures.
