Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, Nights shift, 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with medical and surgical conditions in a telemetry-capable unit
• Monitor and interpret cardiac arrhythmias using telemetry equipment, utilizing SBAR communication for effective team collaboration
• Administer medications via Pyxis medication system, including IV insulin protocols and blood product transfusions
• Manage patient care procedures such as wound care, wound vacs, drainage device management, and pre/post hemodialysis care
• Conduct patient assessments, implement isolation precautions, and utilize Safe Patient Handling equipment as needed
• Contribute to rapid response teams and ensure patient safety through vigilant monitoring and timely intervention

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience in a Med/Surg or Tele unit
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Ability to manage acute and chronic medical conditions including COVID-19, diabetes, renal disease, COPD, pneumonia, and cellulitis

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous charge nurse experience
• Familiarity with post-surgical care including orthopedic, genitourinary, gastrointestinal, or general procedures (excluding neurosurgical or cardiovascular surgeries)
• Skilled in PICC line management, IV starts, and central line care
• Knowledge of neuro and soft tissue procedures and postoperative care
