Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, night shifts, 4x12-hour shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide advanced patient care in a Cardiac and Medical PCU/Stepdown unit, including heart caths, BiPAP, and vasoactive drips
• Manage telemetry, IV starts, and cardiac monitoring with high attention to patient safety and protocol adherence
• Collaborate with the healthcare team, including Charge Nurses, to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain documentation and charting using Cerner electronic health record system
• Respond to emergency situations and recognize clinical deterioration promptly
• Float within scope to meet facility needs, including working as a Charge Nurse as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 months of recent charge experience in a PCU, ICU, or stepdown setting
• Active IN-STATE Registered Nurse license
• Certification in ACLS and BLS (NIH preferred)
• Recent experience with telemetry, cardiac care, and vasoactive medications
• Ability to work guaranteed shifts, including major holidays

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with high-acuity telemetry units in a hospital setting
• Knowledge of Vents, Vasoactive drips, and cardiac monitoring equipment
• Previous Charge Nurse experience
• Familiarity with Cerner charting system
