Key Responsibilities
- Perform phlebotomy procedures on patients in a hospital setting.
- Collect blood samples adhering to safety and quality standards.
- Follow established protocols for specimen handling and processing.
- Float to various units and campuses as needed, performing tasks for which competencies have been demonstrated and documented.
- Ensure patient comfort and accurate identification throughout procedures.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of recent Epic EHR experience.
- Prior experience working in a Level 1 Trauma Facility.
- Recent travel experience; first-time travelers are not eligible.
- Valid BLS certification.
- Phlebotomy certification from recognized organizations such as NPS, ASCP, AMT, ASPT, NHA, ACA, NCCT, NPCE, NPA, NAPT, or NHCO.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience floating across different units and campuses within a hospital system.
- Knowledge of Prisma Health’s floating policies and competencies documented for multiple units.
