• Full-time, Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, temporary or travel contract

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to cardiovascular ICU patients, including those with complex cardiac conditions, post-surgical recovery, and critical vascular procedures.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, manage hemodynamics, and respond to emergency situations efficiently.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and manage ventilator settings and respiratory treatments.
• Assist with procedures such as chest tube management, sheaths removal, and patient assessments using advanced ICU equipment.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a high-acuity environment.
• Document patient care accurately using electronic medical records (EPIC preferred).

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license for any other licensed facility (excluding Swedish facilities), with active compact license.
• Minimum of 2.5 years of recent CVICU experience within the last 6 months.
• Experience managing complex cardiac patients, including post-open heart surgery and CV procedures.
• Current ACLS, BCLS, and CRRT Prismaflex certifications.
• Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and advanced ICU procedures.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with ECMO, TAVI/TAVR, and intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP).
• Knowledge of specialized equipment such as Impella, VADs, and Epicardial pacers.
• Familiarity with EPIC charting system.
• Exposure to neuro and surgical ICU settings is a plus.
