• Full-time, Nights shift, 36 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized care to cardiovascular and post-operative cardiac surgery patients in the CVICU setting.
• Manage and interpret cardiac monitoring, including dysrhythmias and invasive hemodynamic measurements such as ECMO, Swan-Ganz, and TAVI/TAVR patients.
• Administer medications, blood products, and IV therapies, including vasoactive drips and sedation.
• Assist with high-level procedures such as sheath removal, chest tube management, ventilator care, and complex device management like Impella, IABP, and VADs.
• Monitor and respond to emergencies involving multi-system organ failure, arrhythmias, and cardiac crises.
• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and document patient care accurately using EPIC or similar charting systems.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2.5 years CVICU experience, recent within the last 6 months.
• Current CVICU/liscense with active compact license in the appropriate state.
• Experience with intra-aortic balloon pumps, ECMO, and post-cardiac surgery patients.
• Knowledge of complex cardiovascular procedures and equipment such as transcatheter valve interventions and high-frequency ventilators.
• Valid ACLS, BCLS, and CRRT Prismaflex certifications.
• Proficiency in interpreting dysrhythmias, managing ventilators, and administering blood products.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with neuro or surgical ICU settings.
• Familiarity with EPIC charting and additional certification related to cardiovascular or intensive care.
• Prior experience managing patients with CVVHD/CRRT and extra-corporeal support.
• Ability to handle unseasoned staff as a strong traveler.
