Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, 12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide acute inpatient care to patients on the IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit, including monitoring patients with cardiac and respiratory issues.
• Administer medications including insulin and cardiac drips, start IVs, and perform post-cardiac cath care.
• Collaborate with the float team, covering various units as needed, including after orientation.
• Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and documentation standards using EPIC and MAK systems.
• Participate in patient assessments, monitor closely for signs of hemodynamic instability, and respond to patient needs effectively.
• Assist with patient care plans for complex cases involving ACS, post-stent procedures, and other cardiac or respiratory conditions.

Required Qualifications

• Current NY state RN license on file at time of submission
• BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA) required; NIHSS required prior to start
• Minimum of 1 year of telemetry and acute inpatient experience
• Experience managing insulin drips, cardiac drips, starting IVs, and post-cardiac cath care
• Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Familiarity with advanced cardiovascular patient monitoring and emergency procedures
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-centered environment that requires flexibility and professionalism
