Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, nights, 12-hour shifts, rotating days/nights, every other weekend and holiday
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to adult patients on a 32-bed medical-surgical unit with all single rooms
- Perform head-to-toe and focused assessments, administer medications, and monitor patient status
- Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and update patients and families on care plans
- Advocate for patients and document all provided cares using electronic health records
- Float to other units/departments within the facility as needed
- Follow unit protocols and complete all training requirements, including classroom and on-the-floor orientation
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years recent nursing experience in a large hospital setting (250+ beds)
- Active AHA BLS certification
- Valid RN license in ND or a Compact state
- Experience with EPIC electronic medical records system (please note on resume where used)
- Willingness to float across different units within Fargo
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous travel nursing experience highly preferred
- Understanding of various disease processes and ability to work effectively on a busy medical-surgical unit
- Strong attention to detail and team communication skills
