Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, travel contract, on-site, nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), 13-week assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care in the Emergency Department, adhering to hospital protocols and standards.
- Perform advanced procedures such as STEMI and stroke protocols, intubation, and laceration repair.
- Monitor patients using Phillips monitors and operate medical equipment including GE EKG machines and Lifepak defibrillators.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate documentation within the Electronic Medical Record system (Meditech Expanse).
- Respond effectively to emergency situations, including codes and critical events.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license with at least 3+ years of recent emergency department experience.
- Certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently, particularly in charge roles.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and team collaboration skills.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous experience in charge nurse roles or similar multi-tasking responsibilities.
- Familiarity with use of Phillips monitors, HillRom beds, and other ED equipment.
- Experience managing complex procedures such as chest tube placement, conscious sedation, and orthopedic splinting.
